Thursday, April 25, J. H. Van Tassel passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O. H. Olson, where for a number of years he has made his home. The remains were taken to Ionia for burial, services being held on Sunday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born April 26, 1829. He is buried in Cedar View Cemetery in Chickasaw County.
