Mrs. Patrick Sherry Dead.
On Friday last after an illness of many month{s} Mrs. Patrick Sherry passed away at the family home on Vernon street, leaving to mourn her loss three children, Mrs. James Birmingham of Wolf Creek, Wis., A. M. and Rose Sherry of Decorah. Mrs. Sherry’s maiden name was Mary Shannon. She was born in 1838 in County Monohan, Ireland, and came to America in her girlhood. She was married to Patrick Sherry in 1860. Mrs. Sherry was a woman of many estimable qualities, a devoted wife and mother. The funeral was held Monday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born in Aug. 1839 (which does not agree with the above) and died April 12, 1912. She is buried in St. Benedict’s Cemetery. Her gravestone shows 1839.
