Lee Einck, age 39, of St. Lucas, Iowa, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2023, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, Iowa, with Fr. Nick Radloff, Fr. Henry Huber and Fr. Ralf Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Festina Community Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. The donations will be used for his children's future education.

Lee Michael Einck, age 39, was born to Joseph Einck and Julie (Triska) Johnson on February 15, 1984. He was baptized in his faith at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, Iowa. He received his education by attending St. Benedicts Catholic School through 5th grade and completed 6th through 12th grade within the Decorah Community School District. After graduation he attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA focusing on Landscape and Turf Management.

Lee was united in marriage on July 19, 2014, to Kara Kuennen of St. Lucas, Iowa. To this union, two sons were born; Brayden and Brooks.

Over the years, as a golf course superintendent at Silvercrest Golf and Country Club in Decorah, IA, Lee was meticulous in his vision, management and operation of the course. Among many things, Lee enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, playing volleyball, listening to music, playing cards and attending and coaching his sons’ activities. He took pride in taking care of the lawn and landscaping at their home. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Kansas City Chiefs fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching football, basketball and wrestling. Above all Lee loved and cared for his family and friends.

Lee will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle and son. He was unyieldingly kind and touched many hearts with his care and thoughtfulness. He was intentionally respectful, fair and generous to all family and friends.

Lee is survived by his wife and two sons: Kara, Brayden and Brooks of St. Lucas, IA; parents Joe (Cindy) Einck of Festina, IA; Julie (Jeff) Johnson of Ankeny, IA; sister Josie (Andrew) Burg of Ankeny, IA and their son: Brody; step-brothers Ryan (Casey) Gade of Tipton, IA and their children: Koby and McKenna: Kyle (Emily) Gade of Ossian, IA and their sons: Gavin and Corbin; Parents-in-law Ron (Susy) Kuennen of St. Lucas, IA; sister-in-law Kim (Eric) Stevens of Iowa City, IA and their son: Hudson; sister-in-law Wendy Kuennen of St. Lucas, IA and her children: Brooklyn, Kendall, and Blake; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lee was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norbert and Rosaria Einck. Maternal grandparents, Leonard and Ardith Triska. Brother-in-law: Brady Kuennen and cousin: Mitch Einck.
