The remains of Mrs. Caroline Headington, who passed away May 19, 1917 at Denver, Colo., was interred in the Russell cemetery, near this city, May 22nd, Rev. M. Willett officiating. The funeral was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Stortz.

Caroline Wepler was born in September, 1945, in Holmes county, Ohio. She grew to young womanhood in Ohio coming to Decorah at the age of twenty. In 1876, she was united in marriage to Thomas Headington, who passed away in this city in 1890. Mrs. Headington continued her residence here until about five years ago, since which time she has lived with her sons in Denver, Colo. She is survived by six sons: James of Denver, Colo.; Charles P.; of Des Moines; Henry A., and Jesse C., of Sioux City, Iowa; Harry C., and Clint G., of Denver Colo., and by a brother, Adam Wepler, of Mason City.

During the long residence of Mrs. Headington in this city, she was beloved by all who knew her, and the surviving relatives and friends retain the memory of her as a noble charactered woman.
