Anders Haugen passed away Thursday afternoon at his home on the old McKay farm 2½ miles west of town of heart failure. He had not been feeling well for a week but it was not thought to be anything serious until Thursday morning when his condition became alarming and a doctor was called. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. He was a man highly respected and well liked in the neighborhood in which he lived, and the sympathy of every one is extended to the family in their sudden bereavement.

Several relatives and friends from here attended the funeral of Andrew Haugen in Frankville township Monday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Feb. 7, 1869 and died March 16, 1911. He is buried in the Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
