TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO.
Items Taken from the Republican Under Date of February 17, 1886.
The community was startled Monday morning last to learn that Mrs. Wm. Moore had committed suicide. She retired before her husband and daughter and soon after they were startled by a pistol shot and found Mrs. Moore on the floor with a bullet hole in her head. The pistol was a “bull dog” belonging to Mr. Moore but had been missing for a week.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Emma who was born Jan. 28, 1856 and died Feb. 14, 1886. She is buried in Phelps Cemetery.
