Died After Short Illness.
Less than two months ago Miss Caroline Bye was married to Rev. Lars A Kalvestrand and they went to Denver to make their home. Last Thursday morning a telegram to Mrs. Kalvestrand’s sister brought the intelligence that her husband had died on Wednesday from typhoid fever. Previous telegrams had told of his serious illness and the course of the disease was swift and relentless. Rev. Kalvestrand was a young man, being only twenty-eight years of age, and had but recently entered the ministry. The remains were brought to Decorah for burial, arriving Monday, Mrs. Kalvestrand accompanying them.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born May 18, 1882 and died Nov. 17, 1910; however; the newspaper article on Find a Grave shows his date of birth as May 8, 1882. He is buried in the Decorah Lutheran Cemetery.
