After many months of patient suffering God called to his regard Dr. Karl Kutschka, who passed away at the home of Rev. Father Marshalek on Sunday morning at one o’clock. Dr, Kutschka was born in Bohemia about twenty-eight years ago. Here he looked forward with eager anticipation to a successful life. Several months ago he was stricken with asthma and thought relief might be found in a change of climate went to Texa and later Mexico, both proving of no avail. Knowing that he was subjected to the inevitable, he came to this city about five weeks ago, since which time he has been staying at the home of Father Marshalek. All that medical aid and efficient nursing could do for him proved in vain and bravely, patiently and lovingly he gave up all hopes and passed into eternity. The surviving members of the family are his parents, brother and siter, all of whom are in his native country. The funeral services took place from St. John’s church this morning, Rev. Father Marshalek officiating. Several priests from neighboring parishes were in attendance. The pall bearers were Messrs. Wm. Sluka, John Smith, George Wiest, Mike Huber, Alert Dvorak and Ed. Budke. Honorary pall bearers, the Misses Helen Witte, Clara Kubish, Kate Wiest, Clara Huer, Kate Sluka and Celia Smith.
