On Monday evening word came from LaCrosse that Rev. Lechtenberg had, after much suffering, passed to the beyond. He had been a patient sufferer for some time, having for the past two months been an inmate of the St. Francis hospital at LaCrosse. The funeral services will take place Friday at 9:30 o’clock. A great number of the clergy of the diocese are expected besides his numerous relatives and friends.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Charles who was born March 17, 1855 and died August 1, 1910. He is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
