Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Meyer were called to Garnavillo last Saturday by a telegram announcing the serious illness of Mr. Meyer’s mother. She died Sunday morning and the funeral was held Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Meyer has the sympathy of many friends in his bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Elisa. She was born Jan. 6, 1844 and died July 10, 1910. She is buried in the Garnavillo Community Cemetery.
