Mrs. Woods passed away at the home of her son-in-law D. W. Smith Wednesday night after a lingering illness from dropsy. The remains were taken to Waukon Saturday where the funeral services were held at the M. E. church with burial at the same place.

Transcriber’s Note: This is probably Elizabeth Wood who was born in 1829 and died in 1910 per Find a Grave. She was buried in Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, IA.
