OBITUARIES.
MRS. H. O. JOHNSON
On Friday last at her home just north of town occurred the death of Mrs. Ida Hamre-Johnson, wife of H. O. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson was born in Decorah township, Nov. 16, 1871, and her marriage to Mr. Johnson occurred about five years ago. Three years ago she was injured in a runaway and since then she has not been strong. Besides her husband and baby daughter she is survived by her father Reier K. Hamre of Decorah, two sisters, Mrs. H. C. Hjerleid of Decorah and Mrs. J. O. Johnson of St. Paul, and two brothers, T. R. and Gust Hamre of Cresco. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. O. E. Schmidt officiating, and the remains were interred in the Norwegian cemetery. Mrs. Johnson numbered many acquaintances among her friends, who join in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
