Miss Johanna Hexom Dead.
On Saturday last, at the home of Mrs. Weiler on Mechanic street, Miss Johanna Hexom passed away after an illness of some duration, death being due to a complication of heart trouble and dropsy. Miss Hexom was a native of Thoten Norway, where she was born on July 5, 1849. She was a sister of Mrs. Charley Allison and until about a year ago resided in Waukon for many years. The remains were taken to Waukon, Monday for burial, Rev. O. E. Schmidt conducting a short service here and Rev. Fjelde officiating at Waukon.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Hexum. Her gravestone in Oakland Cemetery shows she was born July 7, 1849 and died April 9, 1910.
