Death’s Toll.
Word came from Hampton the first of the week that Mrs. Kristy Hanson, mother of Adolph A. Hanson, with whom she has been making her home, died Saturday after an illness of some duration. Mrs. Hanson was in her seventy-third year and was an old and well known resident of Decorah. Her remains will not be brought here until later, having been placed in the receiving vault at Hampton. Friends of the family will sympathize with them in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name spelled Kirsti and that she was born March 5, 1837 (her gravestone shows 1838 but parish records show 1837); however, it shows she died Jan. 19, 1910 which was not a Saturday. Feb. 19, 1910 was a Saturday. She is buried in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, IA.
