Another veteran gone. John O. Sanden of Highland township passed away Sunday Jan. 2, at the age of nearly 78 years. He had long been a resident of that vicinity and was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name as John O. Johnson. I discovered this by tracing back through his grandson John Sanden. He was born January 27, 1832. He is buried in the Highland Cemetery.
