Died at Iowa City.
Mrs. Harvey F. Bloomfield, who went to Iowa City two weeks ago to secure treatment at the hospital, died Sunday last from the affects of the operation for tumor, from which she had been a sufferer for some time.
Mrs. Bloomfield’s maiden name was Esther A. Hearsey and she was fifty-three years old. She was married to Harvey F. Bloomfield about thirty years ago in Butler county and most of her life has since been spent in Decorah. Beside her husband she is survived by six children,--Mrs. Cora Glass, Gladys, Ira, Claude, Clair and Charley Bloomfield.
The remains came yesterday from Iowa City and the funeral will be held this afternoon at the house, Rev. W. M. Lemen officiating.
The sympathy of many friends go out to the family in their bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name spelled as Ester and her maiden name spelled Hersey. She was born April 8, 1856 and died Dec. 5, 1909. She is buried in the Phelps Cemetery.
