Clarence Sleeper Dies Suddenly.
Tuesday Luther Reed received a telegram from his daughter, Mrs. Alma Sleeper, that her husband, Clarence Sleeper, had died at their home at Pine River, Minn., and that the remains would be brought to Decorah yesterday. The announcement of Mr. Sleeper’s death was a shock as it was not known that he was ill. Deceased was about thirty-six years old and had been married six years. He and his wife went to Pine River three years ago, and in company with Leonard Emery and Dave Bowman the deceased was engaged in lumbering. Many friends will sympathize with Mrs. Sleeper in her bereavement.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born June 16, 1871 and died Nov. 15, 1909. He is buried in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
