Funeral of a Bluffton Lady.
At the Immaculate Conception church at Dubuque the funeral of the late Sister Mary Alacoque was held Friday October 29. Before entering religion the deceased’s name was Miss Anna Gallagher. She was born at Bluffton, Iowa, thirty-seven years ago. When eighteen years of age she entered the convent and was for nine years teacher in the various mission schools of the state. The past ten years she has been engaged in hospital work as nurse. Sister Mary was much beloved for purity of character and kindly disposition.
Miss Bridget Gallagher of Bluffton was at her sister’s bedside when the final summons came.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born in 1870 and died Oct. 27, 1909. She is buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, IA.
