Death of a Young Man.
Word came to Decorah friends Thursday last of the death of Henry Klein. The deceased was the oldest son of Mrs. Anna Klein and was born in Decorah on Sept. 30, 1879{?}. In 1900 he went to Great Falls, Mont., where he resided until 1906, when he became ill and returned here. Since that time he has resided in Decorah and Waucoma, where the family home now is. He never completely recovered his health and his death was due primarily to the illness contracted at Great Falls. The remains were brought to Decorah Friday, the funeral being held Saturday morning at the Congregational church, Rev. M. Willett officiating, and the remains were interred in Phelps cemetery. Besides his mother he is mourned by three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Lappen, Misses Etta and Lou Klien, and one brother, Peter. In their bereavement the family have the sympathy of many friends, who held the deceased in high personal esteem.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows his year of birth as 1878.
