Bina, Michael Lee

Age 63, died at his home in Bloomington, Minnesota of a sudden heart attack on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Michael was born on June 29, 1954 to Victor and Lillian (Triska) Bina. Raised in Spillville, IA, Michael graduated from South Winneshiek High School in 1972 and from Luther College in Decorah, IA in 1976. Michael married Diane Tverberg on June 19, 1976. Living in Bloomington, MN, Michael worked for the Toro Cmpany (1981 - 1981), Thermo-King (1981 - 19820, and Honeywell ( 1982 - 2016). Michael loved his family and he loved God. He loved long conversations with friends and family and loved being involved in the lives of his nephews and nieces. Michael was always interested in politics and in smart investing. He was known for his hearty laugh and booming voice. Survivors include his wife Diane Tverberg-Bina; brother Marty Bina; sisters-in-law Jean Bina (Ted McNally); Gail Tverberg (Ben Setzer); Pauline (Dennie) Shoemaker; Elaine (Dietich) Fabricius; Maureen Tverberg (Niki Athis); and Lois Tverberg; Brother-in-law David (Lora) Tverberg; and numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He was preceeded in death by his parents Victor and Lillian Bina, brother Andrew Bina, uncle James Triska, parents-in-law Miltzo and Laura Tverberg, and grandparents James and Emma Triska and Mathias and Frances Bina, Visitation will be on Tuesday. April 24th from 4-7 pm and one hour before the service at St. Michael's Lutheran church, 9201 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 25th at St. Michael's. Memorialls perferred to The Spectrum Network, Decorah, Iowa (www.thespectrumnetwork.org)
