Henry Kamine{sp}, who was stricken with paralysis about a month ago, died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Paul Topel Friday morning. The funeral services were held at the German church with interment at the same place. Further particulars next week.

Henry Kamin was born in Pomerania, German{y}, July 1 1826{?}, was united in marriage in 1857 with Augusta Schroeder and to this union three daughters were born, Mrs. Peter Miller of Grand View, Iowa, Mrs. Fred Duvel of Ludlow and Mrs. Paul Topel of Postville. In the year 1871 he came to America, stopping at Chicago, Ill., where he remained until 1880, when he removed to Iowa, settling on a farm near Frankville. After nine years on the farm he retired and became a resident of Frankville, where he lived until about two years ago when being unable to live alone on account of old age, he with his wife went to spend the remaining years with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Topel, at whose home he was tenderly cared for until he passed away July 30, 1909, aged 83 years and 29 days. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Aug. 1, at the German Reformed church conducted by Rev. Warnhold, with burial at the same place. The relatives from away who were present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Miller of Grand View, Iowa, and Charles Rademacher of Chicago, Ill. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave does not show any information on Henry; however, there is a photo showing Augusta’s gravestone which also shows Henry as being born in 1825. The grave is in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery in Waukon, IA. The name is spelled Kamin.
