The widow of Yocum Nelson, one of Hesper’s pioneers, died on the 2d and the funeral services were held at the Lutheran church on the 7th.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Elisabeth who was born Feb. 21, 1830 and her gravestone in Hesper Lutheran Cemetery shows she died June 3, 1909. Her husband’s name was spelled Jocum.
