OBITUARY.
ERICK NELSON
Erick Nelson, who in the palmy days of the old Ammon, Scott & Co. establishment was foreman in their machine room, died on Feb. 24th at the Northern Pacific hospital at Brainard, Minn., following an operation for a difficulty of long standing. The remains were brought to Decorah Friday night, being accompanied by the widow, and son, and a Mr. Rudd, delegated by Lodge No. 197, International Association of Machinists, of which Mr. Nelson was a member. Miss Emma Christen joined them at Northfield. Deceased was born in Frederickstad, Norway, July 27, 1844, came to America in 1869 and later to Decorah. Here on Oct. 26th, 1872, he was married to Miss Tina Vold. From here he moved to St Paul where he followed his occupation as a machinist and for the past four years he has been master mechanic with the Northern Pacific railroad at Brainard.
