Mrs. Marvin (Lucille) Onsager, Glenwood Township housewife, died October 22 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. Funeral services for Mrs. Onsager were conducted by Pastor Olaf O. Brandt at the Glenwood Lutheran Church on Wednesday. Burial was in Pontoppidan Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Alm, Henry Ganrud, Nathan Groff, Orville Gilbertson, Robert Kroupa and Nathan Onsager. Music was furnished by Miss Carrie Kvamme, organist, and Austin Moen, soloist. Arrangements were made by Steine Funeral Home.

Mrs. Onsager is survived by her parents, Daniel Horan of St. Paul and Mrs Clem Dinger of Glenwood Township, her husband; two daughters, Mrs. David (Mary Lou) Sorum, Frankville Township and Mrs. Raymond (Barbara Jean) Johnson of Long Beach, Calif; a son, Michael Lindsey Onsager, at home; two grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Horan, of Pleasant Township,and five sisters, Mrs. James Alm, Mrs. Henry Ganrud and Mrs. Orville Gilbertson, all of Decorah, Mrs. Nathan Groff and Mrs. Robert Kroupa of Cedar Rapids.

Preceding her in death were a son and daughter who died in infancy, one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Onsager, the former Lucille Alice Horan, was born November 22, 1914 in Cresco and received her education in the rural schools near Cresco. She was married to Marvin Onsager December 25, 1948 in the Pontoppidan Lutheran Church. The couple moved to Glenwood Township after their marriage where Mrs. Onsager was a member of the Glenwood Lutheran Church and the Glenwood ALCW.
