Miss Julia Severson passed away Thursday at the home of her brother, Amund, on West Water street. Funeral services were held Monday at the First Lutheran church, Rev. T.A. Hoff officiating.

Miss Severson was 81 years old and had lived here since coming to this country from Norway when she was a year old. She had been suffering of rheumatism for several years.

Julia Severson passed away at her home on West Water street Thursday, May 12, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 8 days. She had been ill for the past eight weeks, her health having started to fail the past year.

The deceased was a daughter of Sever and Helge Reshord Severson and was born in Decorah, March 4, 1850. She had made her home in this city for the past 40 years and resided with her brother, Ammon Severson, on West Water street. She was a woman who enjoyed the respect and esteem of many friends, all of whom regret to hear of her passing, and all extend their sympathy to the bereaved brother, who is the last survivor of the family.

The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the First Lutheran church, Rev. T.A. Hoff officiated and interment was in the Lutheran cemetery.
