ANDREW WILLIAMS.

Andrew Williams, who has been a resident of Decorah for a half century, died at his home Tuesday morning aged seventy-five years. For some time he has been a sufferer from asthma but was able to be up and about much of the time. Only a few days before his death he was up town, calling at the places where he was want to stop for brief visits. “Andy,” as most every one knew him, was born in Ireland, came to American when twenty-one and located in Illinois, where he remained until coming to Decorah. Prior to coming here he was married to Bridget Noonan who died a number of years ago. His son John of Burlington is the only surviving child, but he has two brothers living—William of Decorah and John of Waukon—as well as several grandchildren who reside in Chicago. The funeral will be held this morning at St. Benedict’s church and interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in St. Benedict Cemetery shows he was born in 1834.
