Nellie Louise Jewell Meyrick, 87, former Br. Co. resident, died at Eastern Star Nursing Home in Decorah, Iowa, on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1983.

Mrs. Meyrick was instrumental in founding St. David's Episcopal Church at Bean Blossom (Br. Co.)

A Decorah native, she was born July 28, 1895 to Frank and Ida Moore Jewell. She married Harold (Dutch) Meyrick on April 8, 1929. Mrs. Meyrick was a member of the Army Nursing Corps during WW I, a Columbia University of New York graduate, an Episcopal Church member and former Franklin resident. A nephew, Max Loop of Nashville, survives.

Graveside services were conducted Monday at Greenlawn Cem. Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home made the arrangements.
