Word was received yesterday of the death at Hesper, N. D., of Mrs. J. C. McMillan. It has been known for some time that Mrs. McMillen was suffering from consumption, but, as usual, her death was a surprise. Mr. and Mrs. McMillan were married in Hesper, Iowa, and went to Hesper, N. D., in the spring of 1899. All who knew her and her husband and the three children have the sincere sympathy of many friends. A brother, Mr. Oliver Freeman, and a niece, Miss Flora McMillen, go from here to attend the funeral.
