OBITUARY.
Priscilla Reeves was born in 1822 in Jefferson county, New York, and died at her home in Castalia, Iowa, Sunday, Nov. 18th, aged 84 years, 4 months and 11 days.
In early life Mrs. Reeves came from New York to Wisconsin; from Wisconsin she moved to Iowa, and with her family settled on her farm one mile southwest of Castalia in Bloomfield township, where she resided for nearly 20 years. She moved to Castalia in 1880, where she has lived until the present time. During her earlier life she was a woman of active habits; but during the last 18 years she has been declining in health, the last four years being confined to her home. The cause of her death is thought to be bright’s disease and old age. She was laid to rest in the Universalist cemetery here last Monday afternoon, Rev. Smith officiating.

Mrs. Priscilla Reeves died at her home last Sunday morning. The funeral occurred Monday at 2 o’clock, p. m., Rev. Smith officiating. Mrs. Reeves was widely known as she had been a resident of this community for more than forty years. She was in her 85th year at the time of her death. She was born in New York state and lived there until she moved to Iowa. She is survived by an only son, Preston, who lived in the northern part of this township. For many years she has been a great sufferer, as she was afflicted with rheumatism, which affected her limbs, and the last years of her life she was helpless. Death came as a blessed relief to the poor sufferer. We have not been furnished an obituary.

Miss Iva Reeves was called here from Decorah last Saturday on account of the severe illness of her grandmother, Mrs. Reeves. She remained for the funeral.
