Died in Denver.
Edgar Erickson, son of Edward Erickson of Canoe township was born Dec. 19, 1881, and died without a moment’s warning about seven o’clock last week Tuesday morning at his home in Denver, Colo., from hemorrhage. Deceased was brought up in the Lutheran church and lived a Christian life. He resided near Decorah until a year ago in April, when he was married to Miss Caroline Crane and moved to Denver, where he engaged in various occupations. He was industrious, a young man of exemplary habits, kind and loving, and enjoyed the esteem and friendship of many acquaintances Besides his wife and parents, his untimely death is mourned by six brothers and two sisters, all of whom, except Mrs. Ingri Hegtvedt of Roosevelt, Minn., were present at his funeral to pay a last tribute of love. May He who doeth all things well comfort the afflicted ones and lead them to a happy reunion in the world to come is the wish of a friend who pens these lines. The remains were brought from Denver and the funeral was held last Friday at the Big Canoe church, Rev. K. Seehuus officiating. A large company of friends by their presence and beautiful floral offerings bespoke their sympathy for the relative and their respect for the departed. Among those from a distance who were in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Erickson of Canton and Mrs. John Wildman of Cresco.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he died June 26, 1906 and is buried in the Big Canoe Lutheran Cemetery.
