Henry Chase, one of our most worthy citizens, having been taken sick at about 11 o’clock last evening. Have learned none of the particulars but doubtless your Burr Oak correspondent will furnish an obituary next week. Although a resident of Hesper, Mr. Chase was in business and social relations identified with Burr Oak, but he had many friends in Hesper who extend sympathy to the bereaved family.

The funeral of Mr. Chase was attended at the home by a large number of neighbors. About 80 carriages followed the procession to the cemetery where Masonic rites were observed.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Aug. 4, 1847 and died June 12, 1906 and buried in the Burr Oak Cemetery.
