Last week a lamentable thing occurred in the family of Peter Snyder, living in the west part of the township, their only child, about two and one-half years old was supposed by the mother to be with the father who was milking but when he came in, he hadn’t seen the child, and in their search they found him drowned in the water thank.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was John Nicholas who was born Sept. 20, 1903 and died May 30, 1906. He is buried in the St. Agnes Cemetery.
