Paul Halvorson died at his home in Hesper township on the 23d, in his 80th year, and his remains were laid at rest in the Hesper cemetery on the 25th. Mr. Halvorson was one of the early settlers of Newberg township, and was for a time in business in Mabel. A few years ago he exchanged Mabel property for a small farm northwest of Hesper where he built a comfortable home in which to take his ease during his last days. The funeral was held at the residence, Rev. W. A. Rasmussen officiating.
