William J. Juen, a well known resident of this vicinity, died suddenly July 15 at his farm home two miles northeast of Ossian. He was 59 years old.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning, July 17 by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. V.J. Peters in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with the following men serving as pallbearers: Cletus Holthaus, Pete Franzen, Carl Lansing, Richard Lansing, John Schmitt and Denis Miller.

William J. Juen was born at Ossian on January 20, 1914, a son of the late Dr. and Mrs. J.A. Juen. He spent his entire life at Ossian where he obtained an education by attending De Sales school. In 1932 he was graduated from De Sales high school.

Mr. Juen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On July 16, 1957, he married Miss Helen Gerleman. He is survived by his wife; three children, Molly, John and Ann, all at home, and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Holtey of Chandler, Ariz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Ralph.
