OBITUARY.
McMULLEN—At his home near Burr Oak, Iowa, on May 21, 1906, occurred the death of William McMullen at the age of 61 years, 1 month and 3 days. Mr. McMullen was born in McHenry county, Illinois, April 18, 1845, and came with his parents to Iowa in 1854 and was married to Lizzie Kinnison in 1875. To them were born two sons, the younger (Herman) living at the old home with his mother but Wallace is in the west. Wm. McMullen was a pioneer settler and well and favorably known in and about Decorah, having lived at the same home for more than 25 years. He was a good man. Brother and Sister McMullen accepted the religion of Christ many years ago under the preaching of Elder J. Ridley and were baptized by him and joined with the Advent Christian church at Burr Oak, where they were ever consistent and helpful members, ever ready to do for the cause they loved. Bro. M. fell asleep in full faith and hope of eternal life at the coming resurrection. We laid him to rest in the beautiful cemetery at Burr Oak.
