A Sad Death.
Ridgeway Review:--Mrs. J. E. Hopperstad, a resident of Lincoln township, crossed the line between here and the hereafter last Wednesday morning, Jan. 31, 1906. The news of her sudden death not only surprised but shocked her friends and neighbors when apprised of the fact. Mrs. Hopperstad was sick but two days and although all that medical skill could do for her was done, her young life was called to the home of its maker.
Mrs. Hopperstad, whose maiden name was Annie Moen, was born in Lake Mills, this state, and has been a resident of this community for about two years. She was born March 14, 1881, and was at the time of her death aged 24 years, 10 months and 17 days. The funeral services were held Saturday last from the Lincoln Lutheran church, Rev. Nilsson conducting the services. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss a son and her mother of Lake Mills also an uncle Ole Sherven, of Sumner township.
