The community was greatly shocked, last week, when the report came that Mr. Wenzel Wagner had passed away at Mercy Hospital in Cresco where he had been taken following a severe accident in a runaway, recently. Many from far and near attended the funeral, Sunday, which was held at the Catholic Church in Spillville, and interment made in the cemetery adjoining. The stricken family have the sympathy of the community in the sad hour of their bereavement. May the Almighty be a comforter to them and make their heavy burden easy to bear.

Transcriber’s Note: Neither Wenzel nor James are listed in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery records; however, there is a Vaclav who is shown as being born Sept. 27, 1853 and died July 28, 1916.
