Edward Louis Stepan, 85, of West Union, Iowa died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette, Iowa. Edward was born October 12, 1935 to John and Lillian (Pecinovsky) in Spillville, Iowa.

On October 24, 1955, Edward was united in marriage with Mary Ann Folkers. Edward worked his most of his life farming, and was seventy when he retired.

Surviving Edward are his children, Randy (Marilyn) Stepan of West Union, Iowa, Garold Stepan of Janesville, Wisconsin, Bob Stepan of Clive, Iowa, Ray (Wanda) Stepan of Eldorado, Iowa, Lanet (Keith) Suhr of Fredericksburg, Iowa, Christine Mitchell (Jamie Miller) of Federal Dam, Minnesota, Ed Stepan of San Angelo, Texas, Mark (jenny) Stepan of west Union, Iowa, Wayne (Jeneane) Stepan of Iowa City, Iowa, Ann (Justin) Knudtson of Waterloo, Iowa and Carol (Jake) Nielson of Colfax, Iowa; twenty-six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian Karnick of Spillville, Iowa.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Ronald, David and Gerald; daughter-in-law, Dee; and his grandson, Gerald Jr.; two brothers, Theophilaus and Wencelaus; and one sister, Agnes.

A Private Family Service will be held.

Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Union, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangement.
