Mrs. Henry Severson, 57 years old, a native of Pleasant township, died at the family home Saturday morning at 6 A.M. after an illness of three months. She had been a patient at a LaCrosse hospital for three weeks.
Born Clara Stoskopf, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Diebold Stoskopf, pioneer residents of Pleasant township. Mrs. Severson made that township her home all of her life. She was married 32 years ago to Henry S. Severson. Eight children were born to the union. A daughter died in infancy. Seven survive. They are : Sylvan, Edna and Everett, at home; Leonard of Pleasant township; Mrs. Leonard Iverson of Pleasant township, Mrs. Lester Styve of Decorah and Mrs. Roger Danielson of Frankville.
Her husband and six grandchildren also survive. There are seven sisters and one brother, Mrs. Kahler and Mrs. Vogle of the state of Washington, Mrs. Korstad of Sioux City, Mrs. Oliver Lien of Locust, Mrs. Alf Thomann and Mrs. Lawrence Thoman of Decorah township, Mrs. Gross of Clay Hill and Dick Stoskopf of Pleasant township.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 P.M. at the Fjelstul funeral home and at 2 P.M. at the Big Canoe Lutheran church, Rev. T.O. Tolo officiating.
