The late Mrs. T. B. Wood.
After announcing the death of Mrs. Elizabeth J. Wood, wife of Thos. B. Wood, on the 12th inst., the Washington Post says of her;
In the death of Mrs. Wood, the community of East Washington loses one of its best members. The suddenness of her demise adds to the severity of the loss. Her incessant acts of charity and never-tiring efforts to minister to the entertainment and pleasure, particularly of the children of her neighborhood, have placed her in the imperishable memory of all who knew her.
Mrs. Wood leaves a husband and eight children. Her husband, Mr. Thomas B. Wood, is well known in Grand Army and typographical circles. Mr. C. B. Wood, the popular letter carrier, and Mr. R. E. Wood, for a long period connected with the Post, are sons of the deceased.
