OBITUARY.
GEORGE WARD, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ward, was born in Burr Oak township, July 4th, 1877, and died at the home of his parents June 9th, 1895, aged 17 years, 11 months and 5 days. He was a loving and obedient son, a cheerful and open-hearted youth. It was during the month of February that he was stricken down with disease and he made a brave and heroic struggle for life and was hopeful unto the last. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hilburn and were largely attended. The bereft family have the deep sympathy of the community. J. H.
