DIED.
HENCKE—At her home in Superior, Wis., on the 16th of June, 1895, MRS. FRED HENCKE, aged 62 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Wilhelmina Bandow was born in Seehansen, Prussia, Germany, July 30th, 1832. She came to America in 1855, and at McGregor, Iowa, in 1857, she married Mr. Fred Hencke,—a marriage that was fruitful of thirty-eight years of happiness. In 1871 they came to reside at Decorah, and this city was their home until 1887, when they removed to Superior, it is the testimony of her neighbors that she was a kind neighbor, a faithful wife and mother, and one whose virtues came out brightest in the home circle. Her remains were brought to Decorah for burial, and the funeral was held from the German Methodist church yesterday afternoon. Her husband and two children survive her; the latter being Fred W, Hencke, of Ashland, Wis., and Mrs. Charles E. Barthel, of West Superior.
