Sudden Death.
Mrs. Kate Fisher died very suddenly Thursday evening, May 9th, 1895, at 9 o'clock, at the home of one of her daughters, in Spillville. She was apparently all right until 1 o'clock when she seemed to pass into a stupor from which she could not be aroused, breathing her last at 9 o'clock. On account of death being so sudden a coroner's inquest was held who gave a verdict that she came to her death from hemorrhage of the brain, which was also Dr. Heflin's opinion; he had been called and arrived after her death. She was sixty years of age and leaves a husband and ten children, four sons and six daughters, to mourn her departure. The funeral took place last Saturday. — Calmar Courier.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Katerina who was born in 1828 and is buried in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
