—The remains of C. E. Sweep are expected to arrive to-day, and will be buried by the Masonic fraternity beside those of his wife, who died while they resided in Decorah. Old-timers will remember the firm of Sweep & Meuser, who did a jewelry business in the store now occupied by N. R. Groff. Mr. S. died in Chicago Sunday night.

—C. E. Sweep, who died at his home in Chicago on the l5th inst., was buried in Decorah Cemetery last Thursday. He was a charter member of Great Light’s Lodge, No. 181, A. F. and A. M., organized in 1868, and has retained his connection here although a resident of Chicago for a score of years, and was buried here by his fellow craftsmen at his own request. He was 74 years and 10 months old. Mrs. Sweep, a daughter and son, his only children, brought the remains from Chicago.
