Mrs. Taylor who has been an invalid for nine years, and much of the time a great sufferer, died last Wednesday. She hadn’t been any worse than common but Sunday evening went to sleep and did not wake up. During her long affliction she had manifested a great deal of Christian patience and cheerfulness.

OBITUARY.
SARAH JANE TAYLOR was born in Susquehanna Co., Pa., April 11, 1827, and died at her home in Burr Oak, Iowa, on Jan. 23, 1895, aged 67 years, 9 months, and 9 days. She was married to David Taylor, her deceased husband, Dec. 8, 1847. In 1853 she, with her family, removed to this state and county and settled in Canoe township; and in the year 1875 they removed to the village of Burr Oak. Aug. 1, 1877, she was bereft of her husband by death. In early life she gave her heart to God, and in 1878 united with the Congregational church. The deceased was taken sick more than 9 years ago, since which time she has been a constant invalid and much of the time a great sufferer. She bore her sufferings with great patience and with a true Christian heroism. Though the cup of her affliction seemed full to overflowing yet she murmured not. Cheered by the visits of her friends she unconsciously cheered them on by her kind and truthful spirit. Her ideal life was to live for Christ and patiently submit to the workings of Him “who doeth all things well.” Though kept within the confines of her own house yet her memory will long be cherished by her many friends. Let her faith be our faith, her God our trust, her hope our anchor and her heaven our final home, The services were conducted from the M. E. church at Burr Oak and were conducted by the writer.
REV, J. HILBURN.
