Found Dead in a Pond.
Spring Grove Herald:Pat Carroll, an aged gentleman who has lately been staying with his daughter Mrs. Dan Flynn on Caledonia prairie, was found Sunday afternoon immersed in a pond. He left the home of his daughter Sunday morning saying he wanted to go and pick berries. Not returning at dinner time, his folks became alarmed and instituted search with the result stated. It is unknown how he came into the pond, but the sad and careless career which he has been forced to lead through want of the care due him from his brother Peter Carroll and his own daughter, makes the theory of suicide very plausible.
