Death of C. J. Jennisch.
A te{l}egram from Sioux City, Tuesday morning, announced the death of Chas. J. Jennisch, second son of Mr. C. H. Jennisch of this city. Charley had been ill for several weeks from pneumonia, but that his condit{i}on was serious was not learned until last week. He had partially recovered when a relapse set in which terminated fatally. His brother Harry was at his bedside during his last hours. Charley was born and raised to manhood in Decorah. He learned the blacksmith trade in his father’s shop and until a few years ago was a valued assistant to him in his business. He then went to Sioux City where he worked at his trade up to the time of his late illness. The remains were brought to Decorah for burial in the family lot at the Catholic cemetery yesterday, and were followed to their last resting place by many of his old friends.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1863 and is buried in St. Benedict Cemetery.
