Death of M. P. Moran
The Decorah Journal records the death of M. P. Moran, a man well known to many Cresco people, which occurred there at the city hospital early last Saturday morning. He was taken ill about the middle of July and taken to the hospital, where on July 29th an operation for an abscess near the appendix was performed.
Mr. Moran was manager of the Standard Telephone Co., and was a frequent visitor in Cresco when that company maintained an exchange here.
The funeral was held on Sunday at St. Benedict's church, a large number of Knights of Columbus from Cresco attending. The remains were taken to his old home at Madison, Wis., where his wife is buried. He leaves two daughters to mourn his loss.
