On Wednesday afternoon of last week Asle Olson, living one mile west of Conover, fell dead in the harvest field. He was on a wagon pitching bundles to the stackers when he said “I guess I shall have to get off of here, I feel so dizzy,” and dropped dead. The cause of the death was apoplexy. Mr. Olsen was an old settler in this county, coming in 1866, and was a much respected man. He was fifty-eight years of age and leaves a wife and nine children, four of whom are grown.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a grave shows he was born in 1836, died on July 26th, and is buried at Calmar Lutheran Church Cemetery.
