The funeral of Asa Seelye, an old-time resident of “Bell Valley,” was held it Canton, Minn., on the 12th inst., and the body was brought to Hesper for burial. Mr. Seelye was a member of the G. A. R. post at Preston, and two of his sons belonged to Hesper Camp No. 271, S. of V.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1840 and is buried in the Hesper Public Cemetery.
